Self-Climbing Form
System
There's no need to crane in this system and it can be used to
build shear walls of tall buildings or other high-raise
structures with any dimension and complexity. Its registered
trademark is "Self-Climber" and the installation of the shear
wall forms are all done mechanically in this system.
This system climbs the distance of one floor in each stage by
using hydraulic jacks, which are controlled through a central
control panel. All of the forms reach the next stage of concrete
pouring in a period of often less than 30 minutes and then,
almost immediately, getting prepared for the next stage of
concrete pouring will begin.
Using "Self-Climbing" system is considered economic only in
structures with 15-20 storeys or higher.
