Watertight

After dismantling the wall form, bolts are brought out from the concrete and, consequently, leave some holes in the concrete, which are filled by concrete or mortar. These holes are the weakness of concrete structures like tank walls because of leaking and in-rush of water. So in these cases, instead of one bolt you can use two bolts with half-length and a watertight. The watertight fills the hole and prevents leaking.

Two kinds of watertights are available, one of them is cast-iron watertight and the other is made of steel sheets with nuts on both sides. It should be mentioned that watertight can be made in different lengths according to the wall thickness.

This member is used for concrete structures that need perfect sealing, like channel and water tanks. As shown in the figure, the middle part remains in the concrete to prevent leaking.
